Just Dance 4 Is a music video game, developed by Ubisoft as the fourth main installment of the Just Dance series of dance games. Announced at E3 2012 by Flo Rida & Aisha Tyler, it was released on the Wii, the PlayStation 3 (for PlayStation Move), and the Xbox 360 (for Kinect) on October 9, 2012 in North America, and was released in Europe and Australia on October 2, 2012. The Wii U version was released on November 18, 2012 in North America and will be released on November 30, 2012 in Europe and Australia, alongside the system.

Gameplay

Gameplay remains similar to other previous Just Dance games, as players are judged on their ability to mimic on-screen dancers performing a routine to a chosen song. The Just Create feature will not continue to be on the Xbox 360. New features in Just Dance 4 will include a dance battle mode, expansions to the game's Just Sweat mode, unlockable bonus routines for songs, and a "Puppet Master" mode exclusive to the Wii U version, which will allow a player to use the Wii U's controller to serve as a "Master" to manipulate the routine and visuals. The additional modes (Simon Says Mode, Playlists, Medley, Speed-Shuffle, & the 8 Player feature (Save for "Hold my Hand Mode)) are removed in Just Dance 4.

Players have "Dance Quests", six missions for each song that can be completed. As you complete these missions you win points to your Mojo. Players can also create "Dancer Cards", which can also display their favorite songs, best scores, challenges and more. Online leaderboards are also available for the Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Features include a timer to determine the duration of the workout, and a calorie counter to track how many calories burnt. Players exercise to the workout session, followed by a solo dance (Extreme or Calm), then another workout session. This repeats depending on the duration. (ex. Warm-Up → Dance → Workout → Dance → Cool Down). The five workout sessions included in Just Sweat are as follows:

Battle Mode

The game includes a dance battle mode where two dancers from two different songs will dance against each other. Both players will have a health bar, and one of them will go down if the other player dances better. If the health bar of either dancer becomes empty, the opposing player wins and the winning dancer's song will play for the next round. Each round's time is varied depending on how long the round last; when the timer reaches zero, then the dancer with the most health wins the round. There are 5 rounds in total.
There are 5 battles, all of which must be unlocked:

For this, the player must use the Wii U GamePad and choose one of four dance moves that are displayed on the controller's touch screen. Sometimes the "Take a Pose" button appears. Hitman: Absolution is a stealth game developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix. It is the fifth entry in the Hitman game series, and will run on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier 2 game engine. The developers have confirmed that Absolution will be easier to play and more accessible, but will retain hardcore aspects. The game was released on November 20, 2012.

Gameplay

The game will take place in the United States, and will feature an online option. In addition, the game will feature "instinct mode" which will allow 47 to predict enemy patrol routes, much like the "sonar vision" that was featured in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, "Eagle Sense" in Assassins Creed: Revelations and "detective mode" in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Hitman is known for allowing players to create their own narratives within the sandbox levels.

Plot

The first in-depth trailer for the game shows Agent 47 storming a safehouse, and confronting Diana while she is showering. 47 is "betrayed by those he once trusted and now hunted by the police, he suddenly finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth". At least one portion of the game will be set in Chicago, and the game will take place in the United States.

Hitman: Absolution is set at the end of the timeline. Confirmed plot details include series protagonist Agent 47 assassinating his former International Contract Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, early in the game.

One of the main antagonists is Blake Dexter, a new character to the series. The character will be voiced by Keith Carradine.

Cast

  • David Bateson as Agent 47. William Mapother has provided the motion capture work for 47.
  • Keith Carradine as Blake Dexter, the main antagonist.
  • Marsha Thomason as Diana Burnwood (previously voiced by Vivienne McKee), Agent 47's former handler.
  • Powers Boothe as Benjamin Travis, the head of ICA. He was later stated to be the secondary antagonist.
  • Shannyn Sossamon as Jade, Travis' personal secretary.
  • Vivica Fox as Lasandra Dixon (Head Assassin Nun).
  • Jonathan Adams as Cosmo Faulkner, a police detective.
  • Traci Lords as Layla Stockton, an associate of Blake Dexter.
  • Steven Bauer as Birdie, 47's informant.
  • Isabelle Fuhrman as Victoria, whom Diana sent 47 to rescue.

Though plans to continue the Hitman franchise were first announced in 2007, it was not until May 2009 that Eidos confirmed the game was in development. Certain plot details for the game were rumored in 2009, stating that the game's story would lead Agent 47 to a low point from which he would have to rebuild himself. On 20 April 2011, Square Enix filed the trademark for the name Hitman: Absolution in Europe, leading sites to speculate that it would be the name of the fifth Hitman game.On 6 May 2011, a teaser trailer was released, confirming the title: Hitman Absolution. The trailer briefly showed Agent 47 attaching a suppressor and a rattlesnake coiled around his signature Silverballer pistol. It has been reported the game will be a "familiar and yet significantly different experience from other Hitman games." On 9 October 2011, a full gameplay trailer entitled "Run for Your Life" was released. Hitman: Absolution is a shooter/stealth game said the team on gametrailers.com. David Bateson will reprise the role of Agent 47 in Hitman Absolution, after it was revealed last year that IO Interactive dropped the long-serving voice actor.

Square Enix confirmed the news, shortly after the above video of Bateson announcing his return found its way online. The video was on a USB key given to a fan by IO Interactive community manager Nick Price.

Bateson's return was a struggle, with IO Interactive initially asking him to audition for a role he'd served since 2000 and Codename 47. Then, around this time last year, the developer confirmed Bateson's absence from Absolution. This sparked a number of online petitions pleading for him to be reinstated as 47, including one that received over 3,500 signatures.[citation needed]

IO Interactive's brand director Jon Brooke revealed the developer brought back Bateson after a change of heart, saying that on reflection the developer was "just playing hard to get."[citation needed]

Soundtrack

The original soundtrack for the game is composed by Thomas Bärtschi with additional music written by Peter Kyed, Peter Peter and Dynamedion[citation needed], replacing the game's previous composer, Jesper Kyd.

Marketing

The Professional Edition of Hitman Absolution features Professional Clamshell packaging for the game, a Hitman art book, making of DVD and the "Agency Gun Pack" DLC.
Hitman: Sniper Challenge, a standalone experience is available to people who pre-order the game at selected retailers. A code supplied at the time of pre-order will be redeemable via PSN Store, Xbox Live and PC. While the console version launched worldwide on 15 May 2012, the PC version was released on 1 August 2012.

Controversy

On 29 May 2012, a cinematic teaser trailer, produced by Square Enix's CGI studio Visual Works, titled "Attack of the Saints" was released. The trailer's depiction of "gun-toting, PVC and latex-clad nuns being killed in a hail of bullets" sparked controversy over the allegedly sexist portrayal of women. IO Interactive's Tore Blystad, the game's director, later apologized, stating they're "sorry that we offended people" and that it "was truly not the intention of the trailer."

New Super Mario Bros. U (ニュー・スーパーマリオブラザーズ・U Nyū Sūpā Mario Burazāzu Yū) is a 2012 side-scrolling platform video game in the Mario franchise developed by Nintendo for Wii U. It is the thirteenth game in the Mario series and is a Wii U launch title. It was released in North America on November 18, 2012, and will be released in Europe and Australia on November 30, 2012, and Japan on December 8, 2012.

Plot

In a change of pace from his usual kidnapping routine, Bowser, along with the Koopalings, decides to invade Princess Peach's castle, using a giant mechanical arm to throw Mario, Luigi and the Toads far away. Mario and company must now travel across this new land and find a way back to the castle in order to save Peach.

Gameplay

New Super Mario Bros. U iterates on the gameplay featured in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The objective of each level is to reach the goal flag at the end of each level while avoiding enemies and hazards. The game can be controlled either using Wii Remotes or the Wii U GamePad, the latter of which allows play separate from the television screen. Like the Wii game, up to four players can play simultaneously, choosing from Mario, Luigi, and two Toads (colored blue and yellow, the same as in New Super Mario Bros. Wii). Certain game modes also allow players to play Mii characters saved on their console. New to this version is an asymmetric multiplayer experience called Boost Mode. In this mode, an additional player using the GamePad can use the touchscreen to place blocks on the screen or stun enemies to aid the other player(s). This can be used to both assist amateur players and allow expert players to perform speed runs. The Koopalings, Bowser and Bowser Jr. are back as the game's main villains.

Along with returning elements, such as Ice Flowers and Yoshis, New Super Mario Bros. U introduces new power-ups, such as a Flying Squirrel suit that allows players to glide across long distances or slowly descend down vertical paths and cling to the side of the walls. Baby Yoshis, which last appeared in Super Mario World, can be carried by the individual players. Each Baby Yoshi has a special ability based on its color, such as inflating in midair, blowing bubbles to attack enemies and illuminating dark areas. Some older power-ups also have new abilities; for example, the Mini Mushroom now allows players to run up walls. Unlike New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which had separate maps for each of the game's worlds, New Super Mario Bros. U features one large map containing all the game's worlds and levels, similar to that of Super Mario World. Some levels have multiple exits that lead to the different areas on the map.

The game features two all new modes of play, Challenge Mode and Boost Rush. Challenge Mode adds unique challenges, such as clearing levels quickly or earning as many 1-UPs in a row as possible without touching the ground.

Boost Rush takes place on an automatically scrolling level which increases in speed as players collect coins, with the goal to clear the stage as quickly as possible. The game also utilizes Miiverse, allowing players to share comments or feelings about particular levels with one another.

Development

New Super Mario Bros. U started development shortly after the release of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and took three years to develop.

The game, initially entitled New Super Mario Bros. Mii, was first revealed at E3 2011 as one of several tech demos demonstrating the capabilities of Wii U. The demo's visual style duplicated New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but featured high-definition graphics, and Mii characters were notably featured as playable characters alongside Mario and Luigi. Shigeru Miyamoto later announced that the Mario demo was going to be released as a full game for the system, and would be demonstrated in its revised form at E3 2012. The new game, titled New Super Mario Bros. U, was revealed at the event and was announced to be released alongside the Wii U console.
